Garden Hobby Room
Client Brief
Our client, a talented willow weaver, needed a functional and inspiring space to store and create her unique weaving projects, such as handmade baskets and wall ornaments. The design included custom storage solutions specifically tailored to accommodate her weaving materials and works-in-progress.
The Solution:
Garden Hobby Room
We created a pentagonal-shaped garden hobby room that maximises the space at the end of the garden, seamlessly matching its boundary. Crafted with rough-sawn, treated timber cladding for a natural rustic appearance, the room features custom-built storage tailored for the client’s weaving projects and ample natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. This solution provided the perfect balance of functionality and charm, ensuring a practical workspace that meets the client's needs.
Designing the Perfect Pentagonal Garden Room
The pentagonal shape was chosen to align with the natural contours of the client's garden, maximising the available space and creating an efficient and harmonious fit at the end of the garden. This thoughtful design approach provided ample room for her creative needs while making the best use of the space.
Garden Room Materials and Personal Touches
The garden room's exterior features treated timber cladding, offering a natural and charming appearance that harmonises with the garden's aesthetic. The client added a personal touch by painting the interior walls, making the space her own and reflecting her unique style.
To enhance the workspace with abundant natural light, we included a floor-to-ceiling window next to the entrance. This, coupled with a side window, ensures a bright and airy interior that fosters creativity. The custom-built storage cupboards were designed to hold weaving materials of various sizes, allowing for seamless organisation and easy access.
