Client Brief

Our clients, a lively and close-knit family share a busy home with five adults and three energetic dogs. While they love living together, the family were in need of a little extra breathing room. They envisioned a multi-purpose garden room, primarily for their youngest son, to serve as a private office space where he could work from home during the week and enjoy entertaining at weekends. A Vertex Garden Room became the perfect solution—providing much-needed additional space and privacy.

The Solution: A Contemporary Garden Office

We designed and built a 3.5m x 2.5m rectangular garden room, tailored to meet our client's specific needs for both productivity and leisure. The exterior features anthracite grey concrete fibreboard cladding, a zero-maintenance material that offers durability and a sleek, modern look. Full-width bi-fold doors allow natural light to flood the room and create a seamless connection to the garden when opened.

The garden room is equipped with electrical power points throughout, ensuring ample connections for a TV, computer, internet connection and other office essentials for seamless work-from-home days.

With bi-fold doors spanning the entire front of the garden room, the space transforms into an airy, open area that extends the indoor atmosphere to the outdoor garden during warm weather. The combination of the doors and fixed floor to ceiling window add a dual aspect inside the room which gives a light and airy feel. The functional design and high-quality materials ensures the room remains practical, temperate, low-maintenance, and visually appealing for many more years to come.

The hard-wearing oak laminate floor, bullnose skirting, plastered walls and ceiling offers a home away from home.
